Sony confirms apps available at PlayStation 4 launch in US

Sony confirmed this morning the line-up of apps that'll be available when the PlayStation 4 launches next Friday. Many apps are those first announced at the PlayStation 4 reveal event back in February, including the "how can you not have these at launch?" offerings of: Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Instant Video.

Also available November 15 are Crackle, Crunchyroll, EPIX, NBA Game Time, NHL GameCenter, Redbox, VUDU and YuppTV. In case you're wondering, that last one offers "150 Indian TV channels Live and on demand, including a selection of over 600 movies."

If you live purely in a Sony ecosystem, fear not, for the company's Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited will also be available.

I don't think TTG has even close to enough vistors to require a license to make a Sony app for their console...

Not sure about the internet app on the PS3. But Internet explorer on the Xbox was sort of a hassle to use. So I agree.


I think that they shoot look into using a different browser.
Get the rights to use Chrome, Firefox, or maybe even Oprah. (Look it up, not the girl).

They should have had 150 american TV channels instead of just indian channels.
Although I do like the diversity.

The only app I would really be using would be Netflix.
Some of them just seem pointless, though I do like to watch ESPN.

Most fo them are the same from the Xbox 360. It's nice to see that they carried Cruncyroll over though
