Battlefield 4 'Second Assault' DLC maps confirmed

4.6
DICE has confirmed the four maps that will make up the first Battlefield 4 DLC pack, titled 'Second Assault'.

The Second Assault expansion pack will include four "fan-favourite" Battlefield 3 maps redesigned using the Frostbite 3 engine for BF4. The maps officially confirmed to be making the jump are; Operation Firestorm, Operation Metro, Caspian Border and Gulf of Oman.

As previously promised, Microsoft confirmed the news today during a streamed Battlefield 4 Xbox Live event in which US and European teams faced off in the new online FPS. Official confirmation comes after all four maps had long been tipped to be included in the pack after being glimpsed in a previous BF4 trailer.

DICE has said that the BF3 maps that make up Second Assault will be "enhanced to include new multiplayer features from Battlefield 4" as the trailer through the above link demonstrates.

EA has confirmed that Second Assault will be "available at launch first on Xbox One", which hits stores on November 22, as part of a timed exclusivity deal with Microsoft. Release dates for PlayStation and PC versions are yet to be confirmed.

Second Assault is one of five Battlefield 4 expansions due for release by the summer of 2014. They can be pre-purchased as part of the £39.99/$49.99 Battlefield Premium subscription offering. The other four expansions are titled China Rising, Naval Strike, Dragon's Teeth and Final Stand.

Current-generation console and PC versions of BF4 are out now. PS4 and Xbox One versions will arrive alongside the consoles later this month.

Frog I'm getting this game really soon and I've already got some DLC for it :) I can't wait!

That is what I did.
I prepurchased the DLC so I would be able to play all maps right out the package.

Ohm i wish i would have stuck to BF3 honestly seems it was a waste of 60 dollars for BF4.

Could not agree more.
I can barley see the difference between the games.

BF4 wasn't was I was hoping for at all.
I probably won't be buying this DLC.

Frog They're talking about DLC already? They need to be making sure there game is up to scratch right now rather than getting carried away with more content!

Woobie They should worry about fixing their game before the DLC rolls out.

I agree, they really need to patch up all of the glitches and fix everything up before they even start thinking about DLC. Then again... what more did you expect from EA?
