Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Extinction mode officially revealed

After rounds of teasing, leaks and slips, Infinity Ward has finally unveiled Extinction mode, a four player survival co-op mode that will be released with Call of Duty: Ghosts next month.

The mode is a survival, wave based defence style that pits four players cooperatively against hordes of aliens. The trailer shows players using different classes to counter the aliens while working their way through the tree to get better equipment.

Players are seen defending a drill that’s drilling into an alien hive carcass, from waves of angry aliens coming their way.
The aliens are shown to have different classes, each with their unique abilities, such as exploding, high-jumping ones.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is out November 5 for PS3, Xbox 350, WiiU and PC. Next-gen copies will launch alongside the consoles.

I know graphics dont matter but its terrible how weak the visuals are in this game.

Amp- This game mode will be amazing. I can't wait to see how it is!

I just hope it stands a chance against Zombies and they change the idea of having to unlock it via missions in the campaign.

The thing I don't like about this is that you have to do some of the campaign to unlock it. I'm more of a multiplayer guy myself.

After watching 2 livestreams on Extinction mode I have come to a decision on my own personal opinion based on what I have seen. I think that it looks quite bad as it hasn't got a decent stroyline how items/weapons etc light up so you know they're there is also pretty horrible. It doesn't take a genius to know where stuff is located & what you are looking at.

If change my mind I will apologize.

IW had to find something to bring some more players in.

KAQ Well they have basically changed the whole game around because they know that it wouldn't sell :/ anyway hopefully this may bring back the call of duty buzz :)

Infinity ward are doing this because they know it will sell, like Treyarch with zombies did, then everyone will start playing it and it will probably won't be great, at least zombies was good.
