Video Shows Xbox One Startup Setup Screen, Stuck In Loading Loop

With the Xbox One showcased at multiple events, it’s quite inevitable that we’re going to see more and more videos showcasing bits and pieces of the Xbox One UI, and also a bunch of problems here and there. As we already explained multiple times demo units don’t really work in nominal operational conditions, so they’re much more likely to incur in some issues than the console you’ll have in your living room.

It’s normal and it shouldn’t be taken as a signal of a widespread problem, even more so in this case, considering that the connectivity problem could be caused by a large variety of elements independent from the console itself.
This time we get a video from YouTube user Sam Clark, recorded at the Area One event in London. Apparently the unit he filmed could not connect to the network and was stuck in an endless look, also booting up a couple times.

The most interesting part of the video, though is the startup setup screen that lets you choose language and location (at the 0:56 mark) and a small glimpse on the UI on the nearby console at 7:29 when the game pauses to wait for the other player.

Just as a note in passing, the grey screen that says “No Cable Connected” at 3:40 is not part of the Xbox One UI, but it actually belongs to that of the TV.

You can check the full video out, and a few screencaps showing the relevant elements in the gallery just under the clip, if you don’t want to wait through all the loading. If you do watch the video, try not to laugh as the user attempts to speed up the process by giving the console a few “love pats”. If only they really worked like that…

Look I'm a Xbox fan, but i wouldn't want anyone's console to loop or not work. Trust me my ps3 broke after 7 years an i was devastated. I just hope they resolve the issue so no xbox or ps4 will break down when it launches.

Bz377 There is no such thing as flawless with a computer or computer like system. There are some sort of bug or glitch.

I Agree 100% with you, computers are not flawless.

While there is no flawless system all systems should aim to minimize the amount of bugs/glitches

Pool Playstation fan boys just need to get over the fact that the Xbox is far more superior than the Playstation.. The Xbox has had 3 generations, while the Playstation is now on their 4th.. Pretty sad if you ask me.

Your kidding right? The only reason playstation has more gens is its been around longer than the xbox. I would gladly send you a copy of the final specs of each system, then you can judge the quality for yourself.

no don't waist your time. Xbox players don't understand FPS and Native Resolutions. They just listen to what the CEOs at Microsoft tell them.

Im going to leave the graphics part to the ps4 because even i admit that xbone cant compete yet. anyways, thats about all that the ps4 can outmatch the xbone with. what else ? hardware ? no, xbone's Cloud software makes up for the Hardware that it doesn't have and can also be upgraded witch will be extremely good in the future. The costumer service sucks with Sony to be honest. I mean come on ! PSN got hacked like twice and one time they had to shut down everything for 1 or more months. Im not saying that Xbone is better than the Ps4, Im saying that they're not that big of a difference towards each other. balanced if you ask me. Although i do think that in the Long run xbone will have better features than it does now. alot better thanks to cloud. Plus you will be able to run most of Windows 8 apps.f*ck it ill get both. but the xbone first.

dude . you have to understand cloud is not going to improve graphics its going to be a very litle advantage you have to understand cloud is used for online suport not graphics without hardware cloud wont mean anything

I already said that ps4 will win when it comes to graphics there's no arguing that. But when it comes to game play with cloud it will be the same or at least almost the same if not better. The cloud isn't one like the 360. the xbone was built around the cloud so it will benefit the console a lot in other ways that are not just saved games and stuff like that. i agree that ps4 has better graphics.

People gotta understand that you will not be able to tell the difference between the Xbox One and the PS4 when it comes to gameplay.

Echleon Lol if this happened to sony you fanboys would be all over them. stop being ****,both consoles are not finished and are far from it. Xbox one is not better than PS4 i am getting a Xbox but don't lie to make yourself feel better. PS4 will outlast xbox one it all comes down to preference.

as far as specs go they are identical however statistics dont lie and xbox is more popular then playstation at this moment

xbox is only popular because ps3 was so bad people expect the same thing next gen. PS4 and xbox one specs are " nearly identical " they are not the same. i know you would like to believe so but thats not the case. popularity has nothing to do with being the best iphones are more popular than galaxys but the galaxy is the better phone. xbox will win launch sales but ps4 will beat them in the long run once people actually get to play them. i like both btw and will get which ever one i can
