GTA Online repeat mission payouts reduced by 50% according to Rockstar

4.6
GTA Online has had its repeat mission payouts reduced by 50%, according to Rockstar which admitted the change wasn’t made very clear in the latest patch notes.

According to the developer, the first time a players beats a mission, they will receive the full amount but subsequent replays will see a payout amount reduced by half.

“This is to keep the game balanced as well as encourage the exploration of new missions and content in the game,” said Rockstar on the support site. “We understand players do like to enjoy a mission multiple times, so rather than remove the possibility of doing so, we’ve allowed replays of these missions at a reduced payout.

“Many players can get very good at a mission and beat it much faster in consecutive tries, so we’ve adjusted these payouts to match that case. This also ties in to our ongoing discussion of replay availability for NPC missions, in which we are taking community feedback as well.”

A couple users noted on the forum that the same could be said for repeating races, as players could easily become familiar with the race layouts yet the payout wasn’t reduced on these.

Sucks for people that tried to get a lot of money semi-legit.

ZENU96 I'm glad they did this, now it can be somewhat fair for all of us.

No more lurkers with twenty million, all legit now. Seems fresh.

The funny part is that Rockstar was so concerned with the economic balance of the game, yet soon everyone will be able to buy money instead actually playing a game to get it. The amount one gets for a mission now, it would take a month for someone to fully soup up their vehicles. I just want to be able to customize my vehicles whenever I want not two days and one hundred missions later

Where the hell is our half a million. I still haven't got mine? They said something like "within the beginning of next week" how many weeks has it been?

Falsified At least there are no more cheaters getting twenty million a day. I like how they patched it.

20 million? I highly doubt people were making that much a day of doing missions repeatedly.
He was probably thinking of the car/bike exploit

Earning money legit is reasonably easy. You need skill, time and patient. Just do races...

Instead of nerfing missions, how about Rockstar fix the fundamental part of the game?

In my opinion this is stupid people should have the option to replay the same mission all the time if they want to even if its because they want to make money the reason is BS that they want everyone to explore the game more nah it's so they get people to buy the cash packs this has annoyed me.

Well, that's good. I don't like how people were making tons of money by redoing the same mission.
