Games with Gold members get Halo 3 in October

Xbox Live Gold members will receive free access to a downloadable version of Bungie's Halo 3 in October, months after it was initially revealed as part of Microsoft's Games with Gold program.

Similar to Sony's PlayStation Plus initiative, the Games with Gold promotion gives subscribers two free Xbox 360 games monthly. Capybara Games' Xbox Live Arcade puzzler Might & Magic Heroes joins Halo 3 as part of October's announced lineup.

Previous Games with Gold inductees include Dead Rising 2, Crackdown, and Assassin's Creed 2.

People are gonna start playing this for a bit. Seems like it'll be fun. I just wonder how many folks there will really be on since GTA Online comes out in 10 minutes.

Steps
1) Download free game
2) At payment screen to switch to MS Points which is now money so I don't think you actually need to do this step anymore.
3) All taxes and everything disappears, no credit card needed.

Probably my all time favourite Xbox 360 game, tied with Borderlands 2 i'd say. Can't wait until people start playing it again, used to have so much fun on that game. Wonder how long it'll last for though...

Mate you obviously missed out on Halo 3 its quite sad you didn't experience EXTREME FUN, oh boy who remembers like 12 people in custom games playing infected and screaming when you can see the infected guy coming towards you haha and the custom mode janga tower
