GTA V Online release date tomorrow, Australia on October 2 plus more

4.7
Grand Theft Auto Online will finally launch tomorrow, to the glee of gaming fans around the world.

Rockstar recently revealed that microtransactions will be available in the online multiplayer component of GTA V, but reassured fans that they do not have to necessarily purchase the in-game cash to progress further on in the game.

The games company wrote on its blog: "You can either quickly accumulate cash through profitable activities like knocking over armoured cars, winning street races, doing stick-ups or a host of other cash-making endeavours, or if you're the completely instant gratification type, you can choose to buy denominations of GTA$.

"The game and its economy have been designed and balanced for the vast majority of players who will not buy extra cash. There is no in-game paywall and nothing that should disrupt the balance of the game. You don't have to spend real money to attain the cars, guns, clothes, flash and style of a high-roller in Los Santos, but can if you wish to get them a little quicker."

Another thing – if you already accumulated your GTA cash on the single-player mode on your consoles, that cash will not be transferrable onto the GTA Online version. "The economy is balanced differently from the single player economy, and cash earned in one cannot be taken over to the other. Most players will earn cash much faster Online than in Story Mode."

To celebrate the release of GTA V for PS3 and Xbox 360, Rockstar is currently giving away special GTAV gear and collectibles to Rockstar fans and followers on Facebook and Twitter. Fans of the game can enter the competition on Facebook to win some collectibles by October 4, 2013. Prizes include the GTAV Body Bag Sleeping Bag, the Black V Hoody Sweatshirt, the Hundred Dollar Bill GTAV Yoga Mat, the Chop Stuffed Animal, the GTAV Bullet Dog Whistle, the Official GTAV Zippo Lighter, the Los Santos Sheriff Trucker Hat, the GTAV Safe Lock Kitchen Timer, the Bugstar Van Keychain, and Grand Theft Auto V Official Logo Tees.

While the patch for GTA online is set to debut tomorrow, October 1, all around the world, it seems that Australians will have to wait until October 2, according to a statement from Rockstar relayed to CVG.

Exact release times and details haven't been revealed by Rockstar itself, so it's unclear whether other territories will have to wait an extra day until getting the multiplayer update.

Yes! Finally, the 2 week wait will now be over. I've been trying to get 100% complete while waiting for online and now I only have one more day to do as much as possible before it's released. I can't imagine all the possibilities online, for starters there is 500 missions to complete, golfing with you and three friends, tennis, sky-diving, for all that is holy it's going to be so much fun.

If anyone can answer this question, will it be possible to customize your house with furniture, etc?
