Watch Dogs on current-gen requires mandatory install

4.3
If you’re planning to pick up Watch Dogs on current-gen machines, prepare yourself for a mandatory install. Ubisoft has confirmed the requirement, although the size of the install has not been confirmed. The game will also ship on two discs. “It’s the same thing as GTA[5],” said creative director Jonathon Morin.

He is of course referring to the Xbox 360 version. It’s a safe assumption that it should fit on a single disc for Wii U and a single Blu-ray disc for the PlayStation 3 release.

The launch is looming, as Watch Dogs releases on current-gen consoles on November 22. As of yet, we haven’t see any footage of the current-gen version. Morin offered this comments to VideoGamer: “It looks pretty good.”

I always install games anyways, means your disk tray isn't spinning so it is so much quieter.

I hate installing games. Its pointless and a waste of space.

Looks like they're taking a page out of gta's book although they have both been in development.

BSOD games are getting pretty big. We need to find a way to make cheaper bigger disks

They're called Blu-Rays. They can support up to 500 gigs. If anything ever gets that big game wise, I pretty sure we're covered.

lmao, you are really dumb. Blu Ray allows up to 50GB on a disc. hahahahahahaha

He's actually not dumb, and your ignorance is blatant. I believe it was pioneer that made the 20 layer blu ray, 25gb per layer with 20 layers is 500.

And the Xbox One, PS3, and PS4 cannot read them, so you are quite retarded.

I cant wait to see 360 footage and see whether the Xbone or PS4 really are worth the move.
