FIFA 14 patch released, EA aware of freezing reports

4.5
EA Sports has released a FIFA 14 title update to address a number of issues, while also confirming that it's investigating reports of the game freezing for some users.

In a post on the company's website, a community manager explained that the day one patch addresses "stability issues found in the closed beta and minor fixes to a couple game mode (Skill Games, Creation Centre) items".

Based on feedback gathered from the demo and early access period, EA also plans to tweak the effectiveness of headers from corner kicks and crosses, the effectiveness of finesse shots, and the accuracy of lofted through-balls.

"Finally," the community manager said, "we're aware that some users are experiencing freezes during the game. We continue to investigate these reports internally, and with our partners, and will update the community when we know more."

The game launched yesterday in the US ahead of the FIFA 14 release date of September 27 throughout Europe.

Gossip They need to learn to make sure the game is perfect for launch.

It is next to impossible to make a game perfect before launch.
Developers don't play for the extended periods of times like gamers do to be in ever nook and cranny of the game to find the glitches. The big glitches that they did find while playing the game do get fixed before launch.

This freezing problem has happened to me and i'm just glad that EA is trying to act like there isn't a problem. As long as they fix it, i'll be okay.

I know, but they are fixing stuff before launch, so they did a good job to be honest.

I agree no game is %100 Perfect at launch all the big AAA games have issues at launch and they generally get resolved within 24-48 hours.

It only froze because everyone was earning achievements at the same time, so it was clogging up the server(s) so it kept freezing. Nothing much..

Americans getting it earlier than EU. Makes total sense when EA is EU and football is obviously far more popular in EU...

They should also patch the web app and its freezing! Can get quite annoying...

I don't think there are any games that are perfect at launch there is always a glitch of some sort lol.

I agree, I don't remember a game I've played where there hasn't been a glitch at launch, even if it's a small glitch.
