It's September 16th, and that means paid Xbox Live Gold subscribers can go ahead and download their second free Xbox 360 game of the month. From now until September 30th, those members can access Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas from the Xbox Games Store.

Normally priced at $19.99, the game is one of the most popular in the long running tactical first person shooter series. First released in 2006 by developer and publisher Ubisoft, the storyline once again involves the secret counter-terrorist group Team Rainbow. In this particular storyline, the team is first sent into the Mexican desert to arrest a terrorist leader, but the plot quickly moves to the lights and sounds of the Las Vegas strip as the team combats enemies inside fictional casinos.

This is the second free game that Microsoft is offering to Xbox Live Gold members this month. In the first half of September, they had their chance to download a free copy of the collectible trading card game Magic 2013. Microsoft will allow Xbox Live Gold members to download two free games a month from now until at least the end of December 2013, although it's possible they could extend the offer beyond that date.
