PlayStation Network downtime scheduled for Thursday night

Sony has announced a period of scheduled maintenance on the PlayStation Network this week. The downtime kicks off at noon PT on August 22 and is expected to last six and a half hours. According to the PlayStation Blog, if you’ve signed into the PSN recently you should still be able to play online during the outage, but the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will be unavailable.

Xbox users pay for online,so that probably is going to mean you guys have better online service while ps3's dont so we havemore maintenance stuff,but hopefully less ps4 online down time!

slapshot101 I don't understand why they don't do this during the night, because this is the peak time people in the US will be on, they should do it at midnight. I really think that they should have a better way to do this maintenance without taking the whole PSN down.


I think you are slightly right, they should do it around 5-6AM GMT, that is 1AM US time, timezones sort of mess up downtimes though.

i agree, but the 360 is deff better than the ps3
