PS4 dev kit interface shown during Blacklight: Retribution demo

PlayStation 4′s dev kit interface has been shown during a demo by Blacklight: Retribution developer Zombie Studios.

The clip comes courtesy of MoejoeWins, although it’s unclear where it originated from. If you happen to know, please do shoot us a comment. We suspect it came from part of Machinima’s recent Blacklight: Retribution PS4 live stream, which you can find here.

The UI can be seen locking up – as this is a very early dev kit and pre-alpha build of the game – but it seems to recover quite well. You can also see interface icons and hear some responsive sounds throughout the clip. There also appears to be icons for a web browser and downloads.

I think that the PS4 dev kits are going to be separate from the retail PS4, unlike Microsoft which every console will be able to be a dev kit as long as it's key is certified by Microsoft.

Yes me too I think the Xbox One is going to be better overall! We'll just have to wait and see though.

5wag Very similar style to the PS3 in terms of logos and thing's like that, it's very clean and they said you can change it to how you like if you don't like this one so that's pretty cool. Xbox One is pretty much exactly the same as the 360's interface but I like that and why fix something that isn't broken.

Yes but with the Xbox ads we are getting free Microsoft Points! ;) I don't see PlayStation getting free anything!


But that was lucky. The dash is FILLED with countless ads.


I agree the x1 dash looks adless though

I know its nothing and its not like they are pop-ups
Not that it means anything because like someone said its not like there popup ads but in an interview with the advertising team it was said that the XB1 dashboard was specifically made with ads in mind.
