Crackdown, Dead Rising 2 are the August 'Games with Gold' specials

Xbox Live Gold members can leap their way across Crackdown or chop their way through Dead Rising 2 for free in August. As part of Microsoft's "Games with Gold" program, starting tomorrow, August 1, Crackdown will be free to agents through August 15. The only cost is how much of your life will be consumed by hunting orbs.

Starting August 16, both Dead Rising 2 and its prologue, Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, will be gratis through the end of the month.

Xbox Live Gold members still have until the end of that day to grab and take a stab at Assassin's Creed 2.

Thats not Xbox's problem. I have played through 90% of my PS+ games too doesnt mean they are doing something bad.
The only hit game PS+ has brought out is Battlefield. Don't see Sony bringing 20+ hit games free yearly...

Thanks for the info. I played both of these and i didn't love Crackdown but Dead Rising 2 was pretty fun. It sucks that we don't get Dead Rising today but oh well.

Teyzah when will they come out with some good games that people don't already have, i've played through both of these games a countless amount of times


There not going to give away BO2 and Halo 4 for free... better be happy that there even giving away free games... greedy people these days...


i wouldn't say BO2 is a good game and i don't see how its greedy seeing as i pay 60 a year for gold i should be getting a gift now and then and if you compare the free games from Xbox to the ones on PlayStation, we get the worst of the bunch.

Crackdown was a really fun game.

I used to play it a lot, until my Xbox got RROD. You should give it a try

Yeah you might have played them, I've not played dead rising 2, plus I wouldn't mind giving crackdown a run through either.. It's free, stop moaning.

It says Dead Rising '2'. But it doenst say Crackdown 2..I dont want to play Crackdown 1 which is incredibly old.
