Call of Duty: Ghosts won’t have branching missions

4.3
Call of Duty: Ghosts won’t be taking the less-linear route of Black Ops 2′s branching missions and choices, as developer Infinity Ward has plumped for the standard corridor format once more.

Speaking with OPM, Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin said, “We don’t have the same branching system [Treyarch] do, obviously. But there is basically this way that, when you are in a mission, you might find something, if you grab it, then something opens up later in a different mission, or something happens later in that mission, that wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t do them”.

He added that these mystery items will pop up “several times throughout the whole campaign”, so just like our source PCGamesN suggested, it’s probably intel – mobile phones, laptops and the like.

What do you make of the above?

SSDeathcard I couldn't stand how BO2 was like a Mass Effect game. I wanted to know what REALLY happend to Mason and those other characters, not 4 completely different endings.

I totally agree with you. I want to know exactly the truth, and not 5 or 6 other things that could have happened to the main characters.

i know, that was just too confusing + it made no sense with Raul Menendez with the age.

killermanjaro65 There goes Infinity Ward doing the same thing over and over, when are they going to be original and do something different? In my honest opinion, they should just stop making Call of Duty games in general...

Dude they did try something new by teaming up with Sledghammer Games for mw3 and that didnt turn out so well IMO

I personally like this. I'm not a type to make certain decisions. It was kind of ok in Black Ops 2, and I respect them for trying that, but I just rather it not have been like that. Interested to see what these mystery items are and what exactly they do.
