Xbox One will be released 27th November, says Amazon

Amazon's american branch is claiming that Microsoft's upcoming console, the Xbox One, will be on sale from 27 November. Whilst the Redmond-based company are yet to officially confirm a release date, Amazon, who received over 2500 pre-orders of next generation consoles per minute, could definitely be considered a trusted source.

The Xbox One's listing on Amazon states quite plainly "this item will be released on November 27, 2013. Rumours have also been swirling that suggest Sony's PlayStation 4 will also be released in November, although both Sony and Amazon are yet to suggest a release date for the console.

Games including Forza Motorsport, Dead Rising 3 Day One Edition and Kinect Sports: Rivals Day One Edition are also expected to launch on 27 November alongside Microsoft's console. You can check out the full list of upcoming next-generation games here.

We've reached out to both Amazon and Microsoft for confirmation and/or comment on the 27 November release date, and we'll update this article as and when we receive a response.

YoungRebels why would you buy a xbox one when theres ps4... i understand personal preference but i mean ps4 has everything better and its cheaper, and before anyone says anything about me being a "fan boy" i always thought Microsoft was the best and thought xbox 360 was the ****.


The bundle that PS4 offers is cheaper but doesn't make PS4 cheaper. The Xbox One comes with a kinect that will cost ~$150 and in a bundle it cost ~$100 more. So that means that both them are in the same price range.

Since I only play CoD, it looks like I'll be keeping my PS3 for another year, since I like to have CoD on the Release Date, and this doesn't let me.

Actually, it did. See, if you were smart, you would realize that the Xbox One has an HDMI in, so you can plug your 360 into your Xbox One, and play games that way. This has even been confirmed by Major Nelson.


Yeah but it will still be the 360 version of the game, meaning less features and not as good graphics and detail
