Current Halo trilogy is now a 'saga'

The Halo series' current Reclaimer Trilogy is now a "saga," a Microsoft representative confirmed with GameSpot during E3.

"While we originally said trilogy, we've actually expanded this to more of a saga, so we don't want to limit the Reclaimer story within a trilogy," the representative explained. The Reclaimer Trilogy was originally set to span from 2012's Halo 4 through the eventual Halo 6.

Xbox head Don Mattrick recently referred to the franchise's E3 showing as "Halo 5." Speaking with GameSpot, Microsoft Game Studios corporate VP Phil Spencer declined to say whether the next Halo game will be a fully fledged sequel or a spinoff in the vein of Halo: Reach.

"It is the next Halo game that we are working on," Spencer told GameSpot. "We will talk more about actually the story arc in the game and how it plays out; we've got more time to talk about that." Whether the next game is Halo 5 or something else, Spencer did note that it will be "a legitimate version of Halo."

imgur I hope the story continues well, I loved the ending of Halo 4, hopefully Halo 5 will be just as good.

Halo 4 had an ending that sent shivers down my spine, I was impressed with it.

if it was the same, it would be a lot better than what it is now, if you think its all the same you obviously never played Halo CE or Halo 2


i have im just saying like halo 3, halo 4, and halo reach were all sort of the same but hopefully it changes

iiExaMplezZz Halo started to go downhill when Reach came out. Halo 4 took itself too seriously, in my opinion it lost the fun Halo had when Bungie were making it.


I completely disagree, every Halo game I have played, I have enjoyed. Bungie are a great company, so what is the game is too serious?


Halo 4 wasn't enjoyable whatsoever, the multiplayer lasted days for me as oppose to the years that I spent on Halo 3, if that's not poor then I don't know what is.


Iv never played halo 4 so maybe this isn't true, but have you ever considered maybe the fun on halo 4 lasted a few days since you played halo 3 so much?

Halo4 Even though I thought Reach didn't have the full Potential of other Halo games, I'd like to see another version of it.


I thought Halo Reach was a complete let down. Didn't really like it at all, it would be nice if they remade it though.


I liked the storyline a lot, just didn't really like the feel. I thought they made it too mainstream to get more sales? Way to make yourself remembered Bungie, the company that f*cked up Halo.


The story was the main reason I played Halo Reach. I played it online with a few friends but not a whole lot.
