Xbox One controller charge kit and headset details

4.3
With the new console arriving in November, Microsoft have released details on the Play and charge kit, and also the new Microphone that has been established.

The Play and Charge kit includes a rechargeable battery pack, and a USB adapter that plugs into the Xbox One. This lets you charge the controller while playing your game, or when the console is in sleep/standby mode.

The Microphone contains pitch perfect wideband audio, and lets you mute or adjust the volume without having to take your hands off of your controller. There has been no confirmation about the microphone being included with the console yet. It was included with the 1st generation Xbox 360 back when it was released.

Disorts You can mute and adjust volume without taking your hands of the controller on ps3. That is a old feature, and on ps3 you can change the tune of your voice. microsoft is trying so hard =
But yet Microsoft has had party chat since 2005 and Sony is just introducing party chat to the playstation 4.... I'm planning on getting both consoles eventually but I've got to say Microsoft is far ahead in voice communication

microsoft has had party chat witch was a good idea but now ps4 has it you xbox fanboys have been holding party chat over sonys head now that you can't anymore you find something else to nit pick at, sony has the upper hand this gen but last it was microsoft. and when i posted my response i was talking to the people who were making a big deal out of a old feature.

morleyyy This is what they mean when they say you don't have to take your hands of the controller.. http://gyazo.com/8a907ef505c5bd73de795bde77368032

The buttons are on the 'puck' of the mic, good feature if you ask me...

finally! i don't know why they ever got rid of that on the 360, it's so much nicer than the one in the middle of the cord.

Yeah I know, the design on this is also pretty nice

Those with proper gaming headsets will still be able to use them like connecting to the optical port on the back and using the kinect as a mic i know thats what i will be doing with my warheads

xSTaTiCBLuEx wow...so they finally caught up with the PS3 and the great charging kit they had with that. A little behind the times Microsoft...

Hands free volume adjustment should be very useful, Most of the time I get killed in CoD is when I'm turning down my volume so I don't have to hear the 10 year olds raging. Also I hope the Xbox One includes the headset, And I wonder if my turtle beaches will be compatible with it?

It's a shame they've cocked up so bad on some of their policies, because I love Xbox exclusives and their controllers
