Mattrick defends the pricing on the Xbox One

Microsoft's Don Mattrick spoke with a company about the Xbox One's pricing. He stated that the $499.99 price tag was an under statement to many analysts. They believed that the price was going to be set higher in the market.

He stated that the Xbox One is delivering thousands of dollars of entertainment for the user to enjoy. Mattrick believes people are going to love the system.

Honestly, all these "entertainment" features they are offering aren't that great. I can watch netflix on my computer, I can watch TV on my TV, etc.

Its not the price that they messed up, its the restrictions as well.

I mean it's not that high of a price but to the average consumer espically in this economy will make a big difference in sales.

That $100 increase more than PS4 is kinda important to the average customer. They will most likely get the game console that is cheaper than the other.


I got my PS3 for $600, and so did a lot of other people.

jreppt Sorry $499 is not fair. Maybe if they had a model that didn't included stupid kinect I would buy that but having to pay extra for something I don't want or going to use is not fair. IMO.


I don't think it's that stupid, earlier today I was going upstairs and yelled " Xbox play Battlefield 3 " , then, after that I went to do something then came back and it was ready for me! I also use it when I am watching Netflix, it is very useful! You just have to be willing to open your mouth. Sadly, to some people, they will say that is " work " and that it is " tiring ".


the xbox one actually requires the Kinect. that's why it is part of the bundle.
