E3 2013: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze coming to Wii U in 2013

Set for release later this year, the latest entry in the side-scrolling platforming series sees Donkey Kong's living space overrun by Vikings from the North Sea.
In order to reclaim it, Donkey Kong and friends set off on an adventure that will take them to five islands

The Retro Studios developed game will support two player simultaneous multiplayer with playable characters including Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong.

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata says that in addition to the game's side-view presentation, depending on the stage, the camera will switch to show dynamic scenes that enable different gameplay experiences.

They are, but the classics are always better than the new and "refined". I saw this donkey kong gameplay video, and I already liked the old ones better.

Its actually a game lol

I hope that it has a decent size story mode. Like Donkey Kong Country 2 had.

I hope so to! I want to spend some hours playing that :D

As long as it doesn't seem really corny then I will play it. I wouldn't mind them adding in a few easter egg like as a memory of their past games, would be pretty cool.

Oh yea! I hope they add some easter eggs in :) That would be awesome!!

I would like to see some Easter eggs in the game. Mainly regarding old donkey Kong games and other Nintendo franchises. The game itself looks pretty interesting

I like how they hinted Crocomire from Super Metorid in a different Donkey Kong game. There was this one stage and in the background it looked almost exact to the head of Crocomire. I would like to see stuff like that again.

I really want to see a Zelda reference in there.

Have they ever done a Zelda reference or do you mean you would like to see one done in this Donkey Kong game?

I don't think they have done any zelda references before. I would like a few done in this upcoming donkey kong game though. I like it would be pretty cool as i am a big zelda fan

I know they have done Super Metroid, Mr. Game&Watch and sorta like a Limbo reference as their easter eggs. I'm sure there have been other ones as well but we'll have to wait and see what new easter eggs are in the new game.

I guess that we will just have to wait and see what they include. It all revolves around how hard these Easter eggs will be to find in my opinion
