NBA 2K14 confirmed for current and next-gen consoles

NBA 2K14 has been confirmed for current and next-gen platforms.

The new installment in 2K's basketball series has been confirmed for an October 1 release date across PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
Meanwhile, editions for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will launch alongside the consoles.

The news comes via 2K Sports SVP of Basketball Operations Jason Argent, who also confirmed the series will skip the Wii U this year.

"We are not doing a Wii U version this year," he said. "The decision was made internally."

He also specified that current and next-gen editions of NBA 2K14, while sharing some features, will be distinct products.

2K Sports has also released an official trailer and packshot, which features Miami Heat player LeBron James. A second trailer also details pre-order incentives.

I agree, that made me laugh. I don't think NBA 2K games have made that much of an impact on the community as FIFA games have, maybe they are starting to take this series to new a bigger places.

Let's see how many people refuse to buy this because LeBron is on the cover. 2k13 was by far the best one yet.

The Xbox One reveal had NBA Live 14, not 2k14. It had some EA games, including NBA Live 14, which they have canceled the past two years.

Fluxzzy i currently have nba 2k13 and cant figure out how to shoot it says press X so i don and he does nothing really annoying only played 1 game though


You don't just tap x to shoot. You have to hold it until they release the ball.
Every player has a different release time.

You're stupid... Parker has already been on NBA Live 09... A different game maybe, but none the less its a basketaball game.

This is Lebrons first time, and its well deserved
