Xbox One Requires Kinect to function. Watching You Sleep in 1080p?

The Xbox Kinect needs to always be functional for the console to work. All the consoles come with the Kinect, but if not connected to the Xbox One, the Xbox will not work at all. Almost everything you get to on the Xbox One will now be voice activated. "Xbox wants to watch you sleep."

If you don't want it to watch you couldn't you just place an object in front of it or turn it around facing the wall lol.

The Kinect is only there to expand and immerse the gamer. It also opens up new features to the devs allowing them access to a huge list of new commands and functions. Also if having the Kinect always plugged in is such a big deal, put some damn electrical tape over the camera and Mic!

Oasis Sleep in your bed like normal people. Earn enough to have a home with a living room and don't be a slimey sponge on your parents as well as a annoying cretin on live.

Problem solved.

Also, I don't see why people are moaning about the design, it's not a million miles away from the slim, those 'grates' as I heard someone describe them are ventilation vents and overall I think it's modern and sleek.


I live with my girlfriend not my parents and she watches tv in the living room, so my Xbox is in my bedroom. So the problem isn't "solved". I don't care anyway its not like Microsoft what to watch people sleep.

if the kinect has to be on for the console to work i hope there doesn't have to be like 10ft of room because i don't have enough room. i could not use the kinect because i didn't have enough room so i hope that the new kinect is different!
