Xbox One isn't always online, but requires internet connection

4.5
It has been confirmed that the Xbox One will not be always online, but require internet connection. One of the reasons why this has been implemented, is because all games must be installed now. Microsoft also uses the Cloud Storage device to store movies, music, shows, etc.

Ya MS is done all ready with the "Xbox 1" stupid name and sadly dont follow the path it should of by naming it the "720" and now all they are doing is sales setting it up and such.

Are you implying that the Xbox one will fail because you don't like the name they chose for it?

I think he is implying that it will fail because when you think about it, people will draw comparisons to the names PS4 Vs Xbox One, PS5 Vs Xbox Two etc

People are not that bright and will assume that the PS4 is better because it has a higher number.

Also remember that the PS One wasn't a new console, but a slimline version of an existing console, just like the Xbox Slim is to the Xbox 360.

True.. But if you remember when the revealed the Kinect, the originally called it "Project Natal". Some time (like a month or so..) They renamed to Kinect. I'm and avid Xbox gamer, I too think that they could have created a cooler name. I also think the needing internet connection will get scrapped mainly because I think it will kill their sales on the console. There is alot of people out there that dont have internet in there homes. Guess its just a waiting game to see what Microsoft does...

I can see why they would do this, but I still don't support it.

MPAA For not supporting the previous generation, Sony's PS4 has already won.

Ballmer is now attempting to kill the Xbox brand. Great.

Guess I'll be buying a PS4 this time.

PS4 can also not play previous gen games due to a different GPU

I forgot to add, MS has denied that even XBLA titles will work on the new system, that is inexcusable.

No, they'd have to be remade to work on the new system aka, a waste of resources.

A recompile is hardly a waste of resources.

The work is already done for them, it would be just a direct port.
