Xbox One not backwards compatible with 360 discs/XBLA purchases

4.4
The new Xbox One will not be backwards compatible. They have also announced that old purchases from the Xbox 360 will not transfer over because of the new processor they have put in. Microsoft have said that they care about the purchases, and will still be updating new apps and features on the old Xbox 360. Microsoft said that some things will transfer over such as the gamer score that you earned in previous years on the 360.

Sorcery Using the processor as an excuse is poor and a load of utter rubbish.

Not really, if they can't run on the new Xbox there's no point transferring them.

Kind of a let down, but this was to be expected. This transition to the new consoles is going to be hard. Not all of my friends (most likely none of them for that matter) can get the Xbox One right away. Hopefully there is still ways to interact with one another until they can.

I was debating to either build my PC or buy thus. I guess the PC is on its way.

Its quite annoying as a lot of people have spent a lot of money on the 360 games and on the marketplace. Even on the 360 they had some original games that were compatible.

No suprises. Cant expect it to as normal dvd disks dont play in blu-ray players so 36 discs wont play in blu-ray players.
