Concord hasn't been offline for more than a week, and it already appears like work is being done on the game, perhaps in an effort to bring it back sooner rather than later.

According to information housed at SteamDB, a website dedicated to tracking all sorts of Steam information, as recently as 12 hours ago from the time of publication, the game has been updated. Those updates are from an account named "SonyQAE." Prior to that, an account named "SonyQAE_Shipping" also published some sort of update.

It's unclear what exactly the updates are, but the QAE in Sony_QAE seemingly stands for "Quality Assurance Engineer" or "Quality Assurance Evaluator."

Concord May Still Have Life After All
Prior to Concord going offline on September 6, in a blog post written by Firewalk Studios' Ryan Ellis, it was noted that various options would be explored in order to better reach players. In particular, "while we determine the best path ahead, Concord sales will cease immediately."

While sales have stopped in full, with the game even being removed from players' PlayStation accounts altogether, it appears that Firewalk and Sony are honoring their previous commitment to finding a way to bring the game back.

It is also worth mentioning that the upcoming Secret Level episode of Concord will apparently go on as planned. According to a report from IGN, the episode hasn't been cut and will still be released. Of course, that might have to do with the amount of time, effort and money put into that particular episode.

But it also does point to Sony not looking to totally eliminate Concord from the minds of players, even if it doesn't exist in many accounts anymore. The presence of updates to the game on the backend also signals as much. Perhaps it won't be long before the game is reworked and re-revealed.
