Black Ops 2 'on track for record sales' - analyst

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is on track to achieve record sales, according to Cowen & Company analyst Doug Creutz.

He said in a research note: "Post-holiday sales trends for BO2 have been significantly better than those for last year's Modern Warfare 3, and we expect BO2 to slightly beat the previous franchise high watermark of the original Black Ops on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms across its life cycle."
Activision claimed in December that Black Ops 2 grossed $1 billion worldwide in its first 15 days of availability, a milestone reached 24 hours faster than 2011's Modern Warfare 3.

The shooter went on to be the best-selling game of last year in both the UK and the US

Activision social media manager Dan Amrich said last week that he expects 2013's entry in the Call of Duty series, which is rumoured to Modern Warfare 4, to be revealed no later than E3 in early June.

As the years progress, I think each new CoD will out do the last. That is until a new series takes the hearts of millions of 11 year olds.

I have a feeling it will beat it. Zombies is my favorite thing about Treyarch games and it's way better in Black ops 2.

It will be interesting to see whether or not BO2 does indeed achieve this, yes it is a thoroughly enjoyable game for both multiplayer and zombies, and even has a nice campaign, but I think the game may not make it.

Yeah I don't understand why every year each games has more sales then the next when each call of duty is worse then the other.


Every time there is a new COD it attracts the same people and more so that's why they keep on breaking there previous records
