The new perk is called "Melee Macchiato" and features a creamy-orange aesthetic complete with a bright red boxing glove on the can's logo. The perk comes in a can similar to the ones seen in Cold War's Zombies mode. The exact effects of Melee Macchiato are unknown, but considering the name of the drink, it's likely the perk will buff players' melee abilities and items.

Melee weapons have a rather unique and interesting history in Call of Duty Zombies. A variety of maps, like Black Ops' Ascension or Black Ops 2's Tranzit, feature powerful melee weapons such as the sickle and Galvaknuckles respectively, but these items are typically discarded as players progress through rounds. High-round strategies in Call of Duty Zombies often abandon melees entirely, but it seems like Treyarch wants to give fans a reason to use these types of weapons in Black Ops 6.



Perks are crucial to survival in Call of Duty Zombies and have been featured since the mode's second map in World at War. Over time, more unique and interesting perks have been added to the mix, though classics like Juggernog and Speed Cola tend to rank among the top for Call of Duty Zombies fans. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 officially releases on October 25 and is expected to expand the ongoing Zombies storyline in major ways.
