Microsoft pulls one of its new software security updates

4.7
On Tuesday, Microsoft released a number of security patches for its software products as part of its regular monthly "Patch Tuesday" event. Now, the company has removed one of those security updates from its download center after receiving reports that it was causing some issues with some Windows users.

In a post on the Microsoft Security Response Center blog, the company said:

We are aware that some of our customers may be experiencing difficulties after applying security update 2823324, which we provided in security bulletin MS13-036 on Tuesday, April 9. We’ve determined that the update, when paired with certain third-party software, can cause system errors. As a precaution, we stopped pushing 2823324 as an update when we began investigating the error reports, and have since removed it from the download center.
Microsoft says that users who have already installed the security update should uninstall it and has offered several ways to do so in a new security bulletin. However, the company did say that the update does "... not result in any data loss nor affect all Windows customers." In the meantime, MS13-036 will continue to be pushed out automatically to Windows users but without the troublesome security update.

RTE Their security is always the best.
It's awesome how they add more and more.

This has nothing to do with the post at all.
This is a post about how they PULLED one of their updates.

If it was the best like you say, why would they pull it?

You have a nice point there, but if you see an oppurtunity, you take it. (in this case to improve security)

That's true, Microsoft hasn't been hacked or broken into for a long time. PSN and Wii have

Yeah, it's great that they don't stop improving it.

They want their security to be perfect i guess.

It is nice to know they are attempting to buff up security, whether it will have a proper difference or not though is a different story
