Microsoft to discontinue the Gold Family Pack

4.3

Microsoft has confirmed to Joystiq that they have discontinued the popular Gold family pack. What this means for current Family gold pack customers is that their family center settings management suite is still available for them... at this time.

When asked why this bundle which for just $99.99 gave the user four year long gold subscriptions they responded the following:

"We continually evaluate our business focus and work to offer services that make the most sense for our customers and Xbox."

I don't think alot off people will pay $100 to play xbox together.

This is good, I highly doubt many people bought this subscription. I mean, what family spends its free time playing Xbox together? =/

VEVO In other words, they canceled it because they're money hungry and would rather make 240 dollars than 100.

Or maybe no one actually bought 4 memberships for 4 different accounts in the same family. That is just stupid, unless you have 20 children like the dugger family.

Zyphr I bet there will be something similar to this, just a different name or concept.

Of course, they wouldn't ruin a whole concept of something for nothing.

A lot of big sellers that sell memberships used this method. You make a lot of profit from doing so.
