6.1.3 iOS update could undo your iPhone 5 Jailbreak.

4.7
During the weekend, Team Evad3rs released their newest update for the most popular iPhone 5 jailbreak in existence, evasi0n. But, it appears that this update could be its last, as sources report that Apple's newest patch, 6.1.3, could end evasi0n's effectiveness from here on out.

One of evasi0n's creators, David Wang, says that the developer version of the patch eliminates one of the five bugs necessary for evasi0n to run — a vital exploit hidden within the system's time zone settings. Any untethered phone that attempts to patch their system will effectively prevent evasi0n from working at all, re-jailing the phone again. This patch also ends the updates and support for the month-old untethering software that finally freed the iPhone 5 from carriers. Any new or updated phones natively running the newest version of the OS will not be able to access any of evasi0n's capabilities.

Right now, evasi0n remains one of the most popular jailbreaking softwares, gathering a hefty 7 million downloads in the first four days of being online. It has taken Apple three weeks to respond to the jailbreak on the developer end, but it's more likely that the patch will hit consumers sometime within the next month. The patch will also fix the lockscreen bug on the iPhone that allows anyone to gain access via brute force to locked phones.

I already un jailbroke my iPhone. Didn't like it and it was draining my battery like no other. But my iPad on the other hand I will just not update it because I like the free music and games that I can get with it.

GowJ wow so they are patching it?

Yes... Every iOS update will take out your jailbreak. This has always been the case, Don't worry though, they will make a new one every update for sure.

Never know, there will eventually be an update that is unjailbreakable.

Nope. All technology is hackable, so there will never be an unjailbreakable update.

Are you kidding me? Not ALL technology is hackable.

Were theres a will there will always be a way, all the time 'unhackable' things are released which are hacked in no time. Its just a constant game of cat and mouse between hackers and companies, and for anytime in the near future thats just how it will be, and i wouldnt expect it to be any different if im honest

He's right, most technology will always be able to be hacked, however I'm thinking the 720 will be a struggle at first, I eventually see it getting hacked though, some hackers are very smart people.

Most hackers are very smart people.

Every Hacker is a smart person. The stupid "hackers" are more than likely just kids using pre made applications to edit files in hex or using a JTAG to host hacked games on Call of Duty. I hate it when those people claim to be hackers. The people who find those loopholes and manipulate the code to discover these "hacks" in the first place are hackers. And yes. They are pretty damn smart.

It will, it's a new system update, which will flush the jailbreak, (The jailbreak is for the current iOS only, that's how it works.
