EA exec: It is unlikely the next Xbox will play Xbox 360 games

An executive for Electronic Arts has recently claimed that we should not expect Xbox 360 games to run on the next-gen Xbox, nor should owners of the next Playstation expect to play PS3 games on the PS4.

Sources report that EA chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen, said "An important thing to remember is that next-gen consoles will most likely not be backwards compatible… And if you play multiplayer on a game, you'll most likely not be able to play with someone on a different generation."

They may allow the re-downloading of games, I doubt hard copies though.

Yeah, I have quite a few odd games sitting around, not worth anything at EB games, they give you like $1 per game.


Its a new era in gaming systems.


And its lame AF...


Yeah it is, I wouldn't mind if they gave us somewhere to trade in all our games for a decent price though...
