Call of Duty Championship in April, promises $1 million prize.

Activision has recently announced the Call of Duty Championship. Set to take place April 5-7 in Hollywood, the tournament will put 32 teams against eachother for a chance at the $1 million prize.

Teams will be drawn from several areas, including Xbox Live, Major League Gaming and the Electronic Sports League. Those interested in competing for a spot on Xbox Live may do so by registering for Call of Duty Elite. Starting today, teams of four can then compete on Xbox Live in the February season of Black Ops 2 League Play.

ViziiR In case anyone thought the winning team gets $1 million this is how the prize pool works, the $1 million is split between top 8. 1st gets 400k, 2nd 200k, 3rd 120k, 4th 100k, 5th 70k, 6th 50k, 7th 35k, and 8th 25k. After getting in one of those top 8 spots the money gets split in 4 ways.
