Circana’s Mat Piscatella has revealed on Twitter that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the critically acclaimed PS5-exclusive from Insomniac Games, has topped the US software charts for October 2023. Not only that, but the superhero title now ranks as the fourth best-selling game in the US year-to-date.

If that wasn’t enough, the Wall-Crawler’s latest video game outing saw launch month dollar sales eclipse its 2018 predecessor by a ‘double-digit percentage.’ As previously reported, the PS5 was the biggest-selling hardware platform in terms of unit and dollars sales during the same month, no doubt bolstered hugely by the arrival of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

In related news, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was confirmed to have been nominated for no fewer than seven gongs for The Game Awards 2023. Insomniac Games also recently revealed which of the two Spider-Men (Peter Parker and Miles Morales) would be leading the franchise going forward.
