One Marvel's Spider-Man 2 player has found a glitch that allows them to free roam as Venom. It goes without saying that Spider-Man 2 is another big release in Insomniac's Spider-Man franchise. The game has received many plaudits from media outlets and hardcore fans for its emotional story, massive world, cutting-edge graphics, and streamlined combat system. With a roster of villains to fight against, Spider-Man 2 delivers a superior gameplay experience that fans have been waiting for quite some time.
Spider-Man 2 pits players against a variety of villains that have their own stories. There are some familiar faces from the rogues gallery, such as Mysterio, Lizard, Mister Negative, and Sandman, whom players must defeat to progress through the game's campaign. Out of all these formidable enemies, Venom and Kraven the Hunter take the spotlight at some point in the game. They offer players excellent fights, during which they have to deal with Venom's immense power and Kraven's clever tricks.
A Marvel's Spider-Man 2 player has discovered a bizarre glitch that allows them to take Venom all over the map. In normal circumstances, Venom isn't playable outside the Don't Be Scared mission, but players can easily roam with the fan-favorite villain after passing through invisible walls. As shared by YouTuber Ellemen, players must progress in the Don't Be Scared mission until they encounter a group of soldiers, spam the jump button to climb the building featuring a giant billboard, reach the top of it, and trigger the glitch by heading right. They will be able to free roam as Venom in New York City after passing through an invisible wall and jumping off the building.
It's important to note that Spider-Man 2 players should use a manual save because triggering the glitch may cause their data to be destroyed. The original poster claimed that enemies don't spawn if players return to the checkpoint after activating this funny glitch. Another thing to know is that Venom will be unable to swing from the buildings, complete quests, and fight other enemies on the map.
This isn't the first time players have encountered a weird bug in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, as it turned out that switching suits with Miles Morales caused them to turn into a white cube. Fortunately, the developers have issued an update to remove this funny bug. They also fixed an issue with models not loading properly after long play sessions.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is available now on PS5.
