The War Z removed from Steam

4.6
Following outrage from it's players, The War Z has been removed from Steam because it lacked the features it had promised to players.

Complaints emerged on Steam's community forums and on Reddit, where players went to vent their anger about being sold an 'incomplete game'.

One of the most painful hits to it players is that Hammerpoint, the makers of The War Z, have blamed players for not understand the game's features.
“it was clear that there were a number of customers that felt that information about the game was presented in a way that could have allowed for multiple interpretations," The War Z executive producer Sergey Titov said in a statement on the game's official forums.

Steam said:
"We apologize for this and have temporary removed the sale offering of the title until we have time to work with the developer and have confidence in a new build. Those who purchase the game and wish to continue playing it via Steam may do so. Those who purchased the title via Steam and are unhappy with what they received may seek a refund by creating a ticket at our support site."

So once again a game has been released that wasn't fit for release and it's players are expected to pay full price and wait for updates that may or may not come.

How does this make you feel?

ChicagoMadePunk So we complain about warz being incomplete but 90% of games are incomplete also ?.

This game was early alpha and they blatenly lied about SO MANY THINGS and started doing ban waves on innocent people to "boost sales" and "scare hackers"

This was NOT a good game.

After reading that It definately doesn't sound like it.

I feel the same way about previous COD's (MW1 to be exact). I bought the game for $60, thinking I'd be able to play the game to it's full ability whenever. I guess not, multiplayer is hacked to ****. I buy the game, and then I basically get screwed out of my money? If you buy a game you should be able to play it just as well as when the game first came out. :|

Some of the other ones to claim to have a lot of things they don't.

For example, private servers, clan system, more than one map. (these are all things WarZ SAID they had on steam, but they didn't have anything) they were taken down because of a petition and they were false advertising.

Their cover art also has some zombies in it that were stolen from the Walking Dead (at least that's what it looks like.)

I still bought the game, I still like it, but the devs need to man tha **** up.
