Call of Duty movie unlikely

4.7
Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has said that despite the campaign for Call of Duty being very cinematic, he has no interest in making the franchise into a movie.

Kotick has already turned down multiple requests from various studios that have offered to turn gamings biggest franchise into a movie. Kotick says movies based on video games rarely please devoted fans and could taint the brand.

Call of Duty makes up an estimated one-third of Activision’s more than $4 billion in annual revenue, so they certainly wouldn't want to do anything that could cause it harm.

Game-to-Movie adaptations have never worked very well, but if anyone knows of one that was actually good then please let us know.

That would've been a terrible idea anyways. Most movies turned into games or vice versa have been a HUGE letdown.

I would like to see how it would of ended up as..

The movie would consist of sqeaks and modders lagging servers. Aside from that, there's too many series to make a consistant storyline.

There's only two story lines, Modern warfare and Black ops. 3 if you count zombies. Modern warfare would make a better movie though because the story is more cinematic and emotional for die-hard players.

A CoD movie would be terrible. It would just mock any other war based movie.

i know for a fact that a halo movie would be intense and the ending would be to show master chiefs face

Jop3y Um its called Act of Valor...

So not true, no one wants to see a Call of Duty movie for it would be 2 hours of squeakers, over powered guns, spawn trapping, etc.
No one wants to see that

You do realize that the movie would be after the campaign(s), not the multiplayer, right?
-.-

Na most likely the multiplayer because people seem to like dumb games with shitty graphics and a 1990 engine

Whereas you like boardgames, with a design that is over 50 years old

Pretty sure Act of valor is based off Ghost recon FS.
