Angry Birds 3D animated movie coming 2016

Rovio the makers of Angry Birds have confirmed that a movie based on their famous game will be released in 2016.

John Cohen, who had previously worked on films such as Iron Man, Ice Age and Dispicable Me will produce the upcoming movie.

"I've personally spent countless hours playing the Angry Birds games over the last few years, which I can now happily justify as research for the movie." said Cohen

Since its launch three years ago, Angry Birds has been downloaded over one billion times!

Does this count as another Video Game – Movie adaptation? Lets us know your thoughts.

Sounds interesting but I really don't think they could make a movie about a bunch of birds being slingshot into a pig fortress.
