Far Cry 3 suffers immediate server issues

One of the biggest PC game launches this year is already suffering from server issues that are stopping some players being able to play the game at all.

The problem is reportedly down to Ubisoft's Uplay service, which is required to play the game single or multiplayer. Ubisoft have tweeted out to players: “We’re very sorry for the server issues affecting Far Cry 3 on PC and are working as fast as possible to restore the service. “

Ubisoft had also released a day-one patch for the game mentioning it as a “critical update that needs to be installed in order to benefit from an optimal game experience"

Several gaming websites are advising players to switch the game into Offline mode, which should hopefully allow them to move on with the single player campaign while they wait for multiplayer to become active again.

Persistence Ah, screw it. It's not a big time franchise like CoD, so these things happen and they happen a little more often then folks are probably used to. All of that aside, though, the Far Cry series is a must have. ESPECIALLY for you map makers out there! :D


not really there werent anyone on xbox only 1000 in domination and that was the biggest playlist. and you couldnt get a full lobby they-ed reset the severs were **** and its not like there were a lot of people like assassins creed its online is awesome but try playing with more then yourself you cant! it just wont find anyone then and u have to jion friends game and be on opposite teams which is gay


yea right now story is about the only thing im playing and having fun with :(
