Resident Evil 4 Remake Sales Have Hit 3.7 Million Worldwide

4.2
Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 4 Remake has sold 3.7 million units worldwide as of March 31, 2023, which is impressive considering the game only arrived on the 24th of that month.

Meanwhile, Monster Hunter Rise has moved 12.7 million units across PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. Other Platinum titles to see an increase include Resident Evil 2 Remake (11.9 million), Resident Evil 3 Remake (7 million), and Resident Evil Village (7.9 million).

Resident Evil 4 Remake is a full ground-up overhaul of the classic 2005 survival horror title directed by Shinji Mikami, which launched on the GameCube and has appeared on numerous other systems over the past 18 years. The game sees Leon S. Kennedy, now assigned as a government agent, dispatched to Europe to rescue President Graham’s kidnapped daughter.

Capcom has announced that it is working on a PSVR 2 mode for Resident Evil 4 Remake, and there are rumours that the company is also working on DLC in the form of Separate Ways. This side story focuses on Ada Wong and was introduced in the PS2 version of Resident Evil 4, and takes place concurrently with Leon’s mission.
