Yes of course it was Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 that has beaten Xbox's Champion Master Chief in both sales and dominance online with Xbox Live. (Week starting 19th November)

Things have changed a lot since Halo 3 launched and became the super power for online gaming on Xbox, now it's successor can't managed to hold the top spot against its 3rd party rivals.

But now there are reports of Microsoft buying the domain names for Halo 6, 7, 8 and 9! It looks like they haven't given up hope on the Halo franchise yet.

8th only reason why bo2 won is because people buy the game to play with their friends from school, i know about 300 people who dont even play video games but they bought bo2 to keep in contact with old friends

Exactly it's the only reason I might get Black ops now

just picked up halo 4 last night and it seems like they finnally came back it hasnt felt like halo since the 3rd one glad to say i chose it over black ops 2...i gave up on the cod franchise after i wasted my money on mw3 and black ops,mw2 and cod4 will still get to see the inside of my xbox tho

Maybe if 343 didn't make it so similar to COD then maybe it would have more players...I'm talking these extra things that Halo didn't need. Still a great game nonetheless though

eGLoneWolf What gets me is that they bought the domain names for halo 6-9. Honestly could they give it a break? I love halo but I think they should have stopped at 3. The 4th one is good but I feel like they tried to do too much for one game. But now that they are possibly making 5 more, that may be a mistake. Sorta like The movies Halloween, nightmare on elm street, and Friday the 13th. All the sequels seems like a good idea, but in the end it just makes the storyline a complete joke.

i agree im a massive halo fan and i think they just need to bring it to the end honestly in my opinion halo 4 weren't all it was made out to be

Reason Black Ops won b/c Call of duty is also most known in PS3.
