Black Ops 2 patch has fixed -SOME- PS3 freezing issues

Activision has released a patch to fix the freezing/lock-up issues that some PS3 users were having with Black Ops 2. Users need only sign into the online section of the game to receive the update.

Most of the freezing issues were localised around the public multiplayer lobbies

Activision's statement read:
“A patch has been released to fix the lock-up/freeze issues affecting Call of Duty: Black Ops II online gameplay on PlayStation 3. However, we are aware that some customers are still experiencing PS3 lock-ups after installing the patch and we are doing everything we can to get to the bottom of it as quickly as possible.”

Note that this patch may not fix everybodys freezing problem, though users can expect Activision to fully fix the issue in the coming day or two.

Vlif im getting BO2 PS3 for Christmas... but for me Xbox hasn't had a issue yet so im good :P


going back about my old post... i think i screwed myself posting this because ever since i've been getting problems and its nothing but a giant piss off. im glad i pirated it insteal of wasting 70 bucks

i bought the care package and the season pass.. got pooped on.. like WTF man. Anyway i can refund it for the 360 copy.. ~___~ my 2 friends have recieved the yellow light for playing black ops 2.. i do not want the same! Christ.. why didnt they have a beta - network tests..

Oasis It's the same deal as BO. They released BO on Xbox but the PS3 version was just a lazy port. BO2 is just the same.


Pretty much. Everything is exclusive to Xbox 360 nowadays but I don't see that a big deal as it accounted for 61% sales.


..Glad they fixed the problems though, I haven't even experienced freezing.


the slight better sales for xbox is one reason, and if i remember correctly a developer said they preferred the 360 bc its easier to code on, bc sony did some weird set up with the ps3 cores/threads,i cant 100% remember so don't quote me.

Actually my game was like that for MW3 but I just deleted my inbox and it fixed it, sorta..
