YouTube app hits the play button on Wii today

4.7
Even though Nintendo is days away from launching its new console, that hasn't stopped the Wii from muscling in on the spotlight with new features. A free YouTube app has made its way onto the Wii today, the YouTube Blog has announced.

Like other YouTube console apps users can access their accounts to view and manage saved playlists of cat videos as well as search for other cat-based videos they have somehow managed to miss. Technology is great, right? But it can be slow, as evidenced by the Wii getting a YouTube app in the year 2012.

Slow as evidenced by the Wii getting a YouTube app in 2012? Xbox 360 came out a year before the Wii, and it got the YouTube app a year before the Wii.

I know it's still stupid that they get it now, but that part of the article is BS lol

AR15 Who uses the Wii???
Seems like a stupid idea to me.

I know same here... It seems like the people who'd play it would be under the age of 11... Why would they want to go on youtube..?

meh, this is a silly idea, cause people with a wii are obviously not gonna sit and watch youtube on their wii...

I would rather use a Computer.

Oasis Knowing the Wii you most likely need to purchase a special pair of glasses to view YouTube videos...

If they did that I would just cry of laughter..
