A new teaser for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has appeared online, offering a peek at the Web-Slinger in action. The trailer is fans' first look at the title since Marvel's Spider-Man 2's initial reveal in September 2021, and it could be an indication that marketing for the game is about to ramp up.

The game's predecessor, Marvel's Spider-Man, was a huge success for Insomniac Games. While Spider-Man is always a hot commodity, video games based on the character have often struggled for critical acclaim. While there is plenty unclear about the release currently, it's hoped that it becomes clearer what fans can expect from Marvel's Spider-Man 2 as 2023 continues.



To players who have played Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the news that Peter Parker and Miles would be teaming up might not be a huge revelation. As the release has drawn closer, there have been several hints to confirm that this would be the case. One leak even came in the form of an action figure confirming the Peter-Miles team-up for Marvel's Spider-Man 2. The dynamic of Peter as the teacher and Miles as the learner is familiar territory for the franchise, with a similar plot featuring in the movie Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. Fans are sure to be curious about how this dynamic plays out in video game form after it was teased in both the original and its spin-off.

News on the sequel has been hard to come by for fans, with the news cycle dominated by rumors. One rumor suggests that Harry Osborn will be recast for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, with the character set to play a bigger role this time around. Although the original features many iconic villains from the Spider-Man franchise, it's confirmed that the sequel will pull from Spider-Man's rogues' gallery even further. Currently, Kraven The Hunter and Venom are the only definite new additions, although there's always potential for more to be added.
