Deleted Museum Level May Be Returning To Modern Warfare 2

3.7
According to CharlieIntel, a reliable source in the Call of Duty community, the Valderas Museum multiplayer map may be making a return in the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The map was originally available during the game's multiplayer open beta but later removed for unknown reasons.

Valderas Museum is based on the Getty Center located in Los Angeles, California. It is an art museum that houses many European paintings, sculptures, and decorative art pieces from prominent artists such as Vincent van Goh, Rembrandt, and Monet. It is also a place known for its unique pavilion design and architecture, which is why a single leaked photo of the in-game Valderas Museum was enough to spark recognition from fans.

If we are to expect an official confirmation on the matter, it wouldn't be before February 15 at least, the date when the new Season 2 is set to drop. Some fans have also speculated that the Castle map from Call of Duty Vanguard may be making a return. CharlieIntel, however, found the prospect amusingly laughable in a vague Twitter reply, hinting at how far-fetched the idea of the castle map returning might be, and cementing the idea that Valderas Museum is the only returning map.

It should be noted that this is not the first time a map has been removed from Modern Warfare 2 for unknown purposes, then reintroduced again under another name. The Marina Bay Grand Prix, a core 6v6 map designed around a real racetrack in Southeast Asia, was removed entirely even prior to the multiplayer open beta release, and all mentions of it from official channels were taken down. The map was brought back after the game's launch under a new name, Crown Raceway.

Regardless of the map's fate, fans still have much to look forward to in the upcoming Season 2, as Activision recently released a loaded blog post containing all the important changes to be implemented into the game in the future, such as audio fixes for PC players, the return of 1vs1 Gulag (dead players fighting for a chance to redeploy), and a complete overhaul of the user interface. The full Season 2 announcement blog post will be officially released on February 8.

Yeah they shouldn't, not when they're so low on them as is!

Xbox Looking forward to season 2 and the new content but honestly hate how they bring back old maps instead of making new ones I mean how many times are we going to get shoothouse or shipment then people just camp and hold corners and walkways on the smallest maps scared to run and gun.

Tried and tested and easy... It's nice in a way but terribly lazy too.

It's shocking that they removed a map since the game was so dry with them to start off with...
