Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Shows Off High-Flying Action In New DLC Trailer

3.8
Bandai Namco has released a new trailer featuring gameplay for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's fourth DLC. Titled Alone Against Fate, the gameplay trailer features the protagonist of the DLC, Bardock, fighting dozens of Kanassens mid-air.

The trailer features a gauge counting up to the 145 Kanassens Bardock must defeat, and he does some very flashy, high-octane moves to do so.

The trailer shows off the father of Goku fighting in full form. Bardock is seen all over the battlefield — teleporting from enemy to enemy rapidly. Bardock is then shown defeating the enemy Kanassan Pugilists with just a few punches, taking on several enemies at once to string together brutal combos.

Bardock also has the ability to control his fellow Saiyan warriors, telling them when to launch devastating Ki blasts or just jump into the mix. Bardock's soldiers aren't the only ones with access to tremendous new abilities, as he himself has an array of attacks designed to tear apart any enemy coming his way. Bardock then uses one of his super attacks, the Final Spirit Cannon, to obliterate the enemies in front of him.

While using his ability, we get to see the other three super attacks Bardock has at his disposal. He can also use the destructive Super Riot Javelin, the decimating Meteor Sledge, or the aptly named Body Impact. Players should probably use these abilities freely, as Bardock is later seen getting overwhelmed by his Kanassan opponents.

The Alone Against Fate DLC may follow a similar storyline to the show's version of Bardock. In the hit show, Bardock was the lone Saiyan to receive a pseudo prophecy. This vision revealed Frieza's intentions to Bardock, convincing him to send his young son Goku alone to Earth.

Alone Against Fate follows behind the three previous DLCs for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. The third DLC, Trunks: The Warrior of Hope, followed the series closely. The DLC recanted the story arc featuring a world where Goku has died, and it's up to Trunks and Gohan to protect it from the threat of the Androids.

The other two DLCs revolved around the beginning stages of the Dragon Ball: Super, where Goku and Vegeta assume their new status as Saiyan Gods. The duo faced off against the God of Destruction, Beerus, before moving on to longtime rival Frieza.
