Valorant To Receive UI Overhaul With Next Update

3.5
Riot Games officially revealed its plans for some big user interface overhaul in Valorant in a recent blog post, which is going to solely focus on the in-game menus as well as the post-match report page.

With this overhaul, Riot is aiming to bring a new lobby screen, a new match loading screen, and a new post-match report screen that showcases the results of your team in a fancier design. Overall, it seems like Riot is aiming to make the UI feel as smooth as its League of Legends user interface, but the core parameters for Valorant will still remain the change. The update doesn't include any gameplay UI changes, which means it is not going to affect the way you play the game at all.

With the new UI designs for the loading screen, you will have a clear and bigger view of player cards as well as the player titles and agents. Also, the post-match results now represent the whole team's performance on the front page rather than only showing the player's results in the match. However, this change only affects the front page of post-match results, with the additional pages with more in-depth details remaining the same as before.

The new lobby screen is almost similar to the same screen for League of Legends, though the player cards are playing the main role here rather than LOL's profile avatars. Also, the "Match Found" state now has a new animation of its own, which does look beautiful.

According to Riot Games, these new changes will be available in update 5.08, which doesn't have a release date yet, but we do know that this is the next update for the game as patch 5.07 launched earlier this month.

As the developer reveals, this is not the end of the UI overhaul as more changes are in the pipeline at the moment that will be shipped when they are ready to launch. Also, any new feature that comes to Valorant in the future, will represent the new UI language of the game.

Prior to this announcement, Riot Games revealed Harbor as the next Agent in Valorant, whose gameplay trailer is set to be shared later today.
