Call Of Duty Advanced Warfare 2 Reportedly Under Development

Well-known Call of Duty insider RalphValve recently shared a story at What If Gaming, claiming that Sledgehammer Games has started working on a sequel to Advanced Warfare, and the game targets a launch in 2025 after Treyarch's rumored Call of Duty title.

As Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is only a few weeks away from launch, the game will mark the beginning of a new era in the series that developers name Call of Duty 2.0. According to the previous reports and unofficial information provided by insiders, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is going to have a 2-year life cycle as the next Call of Duty iteration will be delivered in 2024 by Treyarch.

While the details on Treyarch's Call of Duty title are yet to be known, a Call of Duty insider claims that he has new information on Sledgehammer's next Call of Duty title, which is apparently a sequel to the studio's widely popular Advanced Warfare.

According to the source, Sledgehammer Games had high hopes for Call of Duty Vanguard and was supposed to continue its story with new sequels, however, the game's financial failure forced the studio to bring a new idea. As RalphValve claims, the narrative team at Sledgehammer Games has suggested a sequel to Call of Duty Advanced Warfare to their higher-ups as the studio's next project. Based on What If Gaming's report, the sequel to Call of Duty Advanced Warfare is currently in the works, and it is slated for launch in 2025, a year after Treyarch's title.

While nothing official has been shared or leaked about Sledgehammer's next title, the story above has been backed by TheGhostOfHope, another well-known Call of Duty insider. If any other reliable source confirms this story, we will update the article.


Keep in mind that none of the information above has been deemed true so far, as the sources who claimed it have not provided any visible leaks so far. I considered this to be the worst Call of Duty I ever played!
Granted, I missed many that followed this one.

I loved the campaign in the first one, hope the 2nd one has a campaign too

hope they leave the loot boxes in the game I enjoyed getting variants for guns and it didn't cost money

Daniel I think i am the only one that loved Advanced Warfare so this would be cool for me. Hopefully they do bring this out.

Nope I loved it. The game was amazing ! The guns perks everything even zombies. The truth is people just hate and don't even try it out cuz it's "futuristic" or the jumping like grow up and stop crying

I also loved Advanced Warfare, I was rank 1 for Kill Confirmed before being reset, managed to get back to top 100 months after the game came out, one of my favs for sure, the movement worked unlike BO3.
