Daedalic Entertainment has released the first gameplay trailer for The Lord of the Rings Gollum, which is viewable below.

Taking place in parallel to the events described in The Fellowship of the Ring, it’s a story-driven action RPG in which players embark on a quest to retrieve the One Ring.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be released on September 1, 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, with a Nintendo Switch version arriving at a later date.

“Torn by his fractured psyche, players will have to manage both Sméagol and Gollum on a journey that will take him across famous locales, revealing more about his time as a slave below the Dark Tower and his stray with the Elves of Mirkwood, as he interacts with iconic characters from the series,” reads the blurb accompanying the new trailer.

Nacon held a product showcase on Thursday which included the release of a new Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown trailer, which didn’t go down well with some fans.

The publisher also announced it’s working on a survival game set in the world of The Terminator franchise, and released the first gameplay trailer for RoboCop: Rogue City, which revealed that it will star Peter Weller.
