Infinity Ward has no plans for pre-launch Modern Warfare 2 demo

4.5

If you're on the fence about your purchase of Infinity Ward's infinitely intimidating shooter, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, you should probably get comfortable with straddling said pickets -- Robert Bowling recently confirmed via Twitter that the title wouldn't receive a demo before its November 10 release. According to the tweet, "the entire team is focused on polish all the way up to ship of the full game."
If you were really hoping to test out the game before it comes out, we suggest playing Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and imagining it "kicked up a notch" in an Emeril Lagassi-like fashion. [Via VideoGamer Via Joystiq]

I agree with Sean, They need to make the game as LONG as possible! Meaning Touch Up on everything, But I would love to see a Beta or Demo but At the same time, Im glad they arnt realesing one!

yeah look what the demo did for world at war you can see they were not done with the game and everyone on the demo was under the maps and to be fair the two best maps in the game were in the demo lmao! but i dont think they want to risk it with MW2 people getting under the maps in a demo could really damage sales

I think it is a good thing. It gives them more time to work on the game and honestly I dont think a demo would do the game justice.

Well if it means the game been better then i can hang on without a demo.

so there you have it people no demo i also put a nice homepage poll up about this story ha ha but if you think about it if they are going to polish the game more i think its a good move to riddle out of the bugs and issues and giving the game a full test i dont think MW2 needs a demo because everyone is going to buy it anyway and this will also push people to buy the full game the moment it comes out i bet everyone cannot wait for more teaser trailers yay!
