GTA 6 Release Date Likely Not Until 2026 As Per Latest Report

GTA 6‘s release could still be a long way away as per the latest pipeline outlined by Take-Two games in their latest earning results which were published today.

According to the latest earnings report posted by Take-Two today, it might be a while before we see more of GTA 6. The earnings report highlighted all the games Rockstar has in the pipeline for the upcoming years. The developers have divided the games into four different categories and there is a release timeline for the games in the various categories.

It is quite notable to see that GTA 6 is nowhere to be mentioned in the pipeline. Surely, the games mentioned are the ones that have already been announced but Take-Two had announced that a new GTA is in development, so many fans expected that they would see GTA 6 here.

While this is quite a bummer for fans out there, it shouldn’t be that surprising. Considering the scale of GTA games and how much effort Rockstar puts behind them, 2025 seems to be a pretty short timeline for the title. However, the pipeline isn’t completely fixed, as it is added that more games will be added to this pipeline and one of them could be GTA 6. Whatever the case is, it seems very likely that GTA 6 is coming anytime soon. Here is the pipeline mentioned by Take-Two.

Immersive Core – There are a total of 24 games in this category.
THE QUARRY (2K) – LAUNCHING JUNE 10, 2022 (FISCAL 2023).
MARVEL’S MIDNIGHT SUNS (2K) – LAUNCHING 2H CALENDAR 2022 (FISCAL 2023).
KERBAL SPACE PROGRAM 2 (PRIVATE DIVISION) – PC LAUNCHING 4Q OF FISCAL 2023 (CONSOLE COMING IN FISCAL 2024).
NBA 2K23, PGA TOUR 2K23, AND WWE 2K23 – LAUNCHING FISCAL 2023.

Independent – There are a total of 10 games in this category.

Mobile – There are a total of 20 games in this category.
GRAND THEFT AUTO: THE TRILOGY – THE DEFINITIVE EDITION (ROCKSTAR GAMES) – MOBILE RELEASE PLANNED FOR FISCAL 2023.

Mid Core – There are a total of 7 games in this category
NEW TALES FROM THE BORDERLANDS GAME – LAUNCHING FISCAL 2023

New Iterations of Previously released titles – There are a total of 8 games in this category.

Idc how the long the game takes as long as it's done right and proper development and testing is put into it and considering this is Rockstar (I don't like how they develop their multiplayer aspect of their games) I have faith that they will deliver on the single-player aspect of GTA VI but who knows what the future holds for Rockstar.
