EA says Apex Legends has surpassed $2 billion in three years

Apex Legends has delivered over $2 billion in net bookings since its February 2019 release, according to publisher Electronic Arts.

The free-to-play battle royale game cleared the $2 billion milestone during the company’s fourth fiscal quarter ended on March 31, 2022, EA said on Tuesday.

EA’s chief financial officer Chris Suh said Apex Legends net bookings were up over 40% for the year.

Around half of Apex Legends lifetime net bookings were achieved during EA’s last fiscal year (FY22).

One year ago today, former EA CFO Blake Jorgensen reported that Apex Legends had delivered over $600 million during FY21, helping it surpass $1 billion in life-to-date net bookings halfway through the fourth quarter.

Developer Respawn claimed in April 2021 that Apex Legends had reached the 100 million player milestone.

On Tuesday, Suh called Apex Legends’ just-ended Season 12 the game’s “most successful ever”.

Apex Legends Season 13 launched on May 10. Titled Saviors, it introduced new Legend Newcastle, a major Storm Point map update and a reworked Ranked system, among other features.

Storm Point’s new point of interest is based in and around the carcass of a giant sea monster, while a new PVE minigame involves battling waves of Titanfall Spectres on IMC armouries.

EA and Respawn today announced an Apex Legends Mobile release date of May 17 for iOS and Android devices.

Redacted No surprise, a massive game and pretty good. Haven't played it for a while but got pretty high level on it when I did. A shame it probably meant to titanfall 3 was scrapped.

Oh don't worry Titanfall 3 will happen eventually. If you haven't noticed most developers have gone the cod route put all titles on one launch screen. This is why Warzone was so successful endless legacy br. Respawn is just doing it backwards br first over mp. The tracker name's also keep changing lol so leads me to believe a multi-player system is coming soon. Wouldn't be shocked if they combined arena with control stats would be fine but will see.

That's a huge number for just one game, it's obvious but EA must be raking it in with all the games they have lol.
